Exeter’s Sancho Panzer play uplifting, melody-driven post-hardcore with a sharp social conscience.
The band first emerged with their mini-album A Current Archetypal, earning praise from Kerrang! ("post-hardcore with a social conscience") and Rock Sound ("the beginnings of something special"), along with an 8/10 review from Punktastic. Their follow-up, Your Own Accord, earned the band airplay and coverage from BBC Introducing, while drawing praise from Loudersound for its "rip-roaring, punchy tracks" and Songwriting Magazine for its "commendable spirit."
After an extended hiatus to navigate life, careers, and families, Sancho Panzer have returned with a re-energised lineup and a new lead vocalist. Following a live comeback alongside Big Special at Bradninch Music Festival, the band are preparing to release their first new music in a decade—beginning with the single "Easy Answers," produced by Mike Clarke (Big Special), ahead of their forthcoming EP Economy of Motion.
